PCB Director Media Sami-ul-Hasan Burney has clarified that no central or domestic contracted cricketer and consultant can work on any platform during national commitments
Pakistan head coach Saqlain Mushtaq's inclusion in the expert panel of the Indian sports website 'Sportskeeda' has become a topic of discussion.
Before the match against India in the Asia Cup, the former off-spinner can be seen doing analysis and his videos were widely promoted by the website on social media.
In a video uploaded by the platform, Saqlain Mushtaq lavishly praised Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and accused BCCI of wasting his talent.
He has also commented on the strength of the India-Pakistan teams participating in the Asia Cup, naming captain Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav as the main batsmen of the team that will face Pakistan and also said that Virat Kohli cannot be taken lightly.
His comments are being watched with interest in the cricket circles, and questions are also being raised that how did he find time for the Indian website during the Asia Cup?
PCB Director Media Sami-ul-Hasan Burney has clarified that no central or domestic contracted cricketer and consultant can work on any platform during national commitments.
"The board policy is very clear in this regard; contracted cricketer and consultant can't work on any platform during national commitment," Sami said.
"Complete attention should be on planning cricket and its related matters," he added.
Sami further revealed that they have spoken to Saqlain, where he opined that the interview was released due to a misunderstanding. He has spoken to his agent regarding this matter.
The post regarding the expert panel was removed by the platform; however, analysis videos are still there.
