The 33-year-old is expected to be the back-up wicketkeeper in the 25-member squad
Former Pakistan captain and wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed is upbeat ahead of the England tour, which he considers a difficult challenge for the Men in Green.
According to a recent interview of Pakistan’s chief selector-cum-head coach Misbahul Haq, Sarfaraz is expected to be the back-up wicketkeeper in the 25-man squad for the aforementioned tour.
“England tour has always been tough for the Pakistan team. Since the conditions are quite different over there, our players find it difficult to adapt to them. Hopefully, our performance will be much better in the upcoming tour,” said Sarfaraz.

The 33-year-old has continued working on his fitness, despite being confined to his house due to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) induced lockdown.
“Over the past few months, I have worked very hard to improve my fitness. These days I am continuing my physical training at my home. For running, I use the street in front of my house as a track,” he added.
Pakistan are scheduled to play three Tests in August followed by an equal number of Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), with the matches taking place behind closed doors as part of measures to combat Covid-19.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) would seek medical advice and government guidance before going on the tour.
