Pakistan limited-overs captain Shadab Khan has showered praise for former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed under whom he made his international debut.

The 23-year-old engaged with his fans in an interactive Q&A session on Twitter last night.

The all-rounder was asked whether why he call Sarfaraz as his captain. Shadab opined that Sarfaraz taught him various aspects while stepping on the field.

"Because he taught me how to lead, how to look after your team, how to fight for your country and your teammates. My teacher will always be my captain," Shadab replied.

It must be noted that Sarfaraz has often been part of the national team as a second-choice wicketkeeper after he was sacked from the role of captaincy in October 2019. Many current players of the national side made their debut under his captaincy.
