Two Pakistani stars have surged into the top 10 of the ICC Men’s Test Rankings following their impressive performances against the West Indies.

Batter Saud Shakeel and spinner Noman Ali were instrumental in Pakistan’s 127-run victory in the first Test, giving the hosts a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.

Saud Shakeel, with 753 rating points, climbed three places to secure the 8th spot among Test batters. Shakeel’s 84-run knock in the first innings pushed him ahead of Australia’s Steve Smith (746 points, 9th) and India’s Rishabh Pant (739 points, 10th). England's Joe Root (895) and Harry Brook (876) remain the top two batters, followed by New Zealand’s Kane Williamson with 867 points.

Meanwhile, Noman Ali’s six-wicket haul in the Multan Test propelled him to 761 rating points, earning him a spot in the top 10 bowlers for the first time. Jasprit Bumrah continues to lead the bowling rankings with a career-best 908 points, followed by Pat Cummins (841) of Australia and Kagiso Rabada (837) of South Africa.

Pakistan’s Sajid Khan also impressed, climbing 18 places to rank 23rd with 621 points after a standout performance in the same match. West Indies’ Jomel Warrican, who claimed a 10-wicket haul, rose 12 spots to secure the 41st position with 512 points.

The top 10 Test all-rounders remained unchanged, with India’s Ravindra Jadeja (400 points) maintaining his position as the world’s best, followed by South Africa’s Marco Jansen (294) and Bangladesh’s Mehidy Hasan (284).
