Pakistan will play three T20Is, three ODIs and two Tests during the tour
The Pakistan Cricket Board unveiled the itinerary for the upcoming tour of the men's cricket team to South Africa, comprising a series of matches across different formats. Scheduled for the latter part of 2024, the tour will feature three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Tests.
The T20Is are set to take place in Durban, Centurion, and Johannesburg from December 10th to 14th. Following this, the ODIs will be held from December 17th to 22nd in Paarl, Cape Town, and Johannesburg. The two Tests, part of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25, are scheduled for December 26th to 30th in Centurion and January 3rd to 7th in Cape Town.
The team will depart for Durban on December 2nd after concluding a series in Australia from November 4th to 18th. Upon completing their engagements in South Africa by January 8th, they will return home to participate in a three-nation ODI tournament against New Zealand and South Africa. This will be followed by the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, to be hosted in Pakistan.
Before embarking on the tours of Australia and South Africa, Pakistan is slated to host Bangladesh and England for two and three Tests, respectively. This packed schedule will see them play a minimum of seven Tests, ten ODIs, and six T20Is from August 2024 to January 2025.
