Seattle Orcas have made a splash in the cricket world by signing Zaman Khan, Pakistan’s rising star in fast bowling, for the upcoming second edition of the Major League Cricket.
Known for his blistering pace and distinctive slingy action, Zaman promises to inject new dynamism into the Orcas' bowling attack, setting the stage for thrilling encounters and formidable challenges.
The right-arm pacer has swiftly risen through the ranks internationally, gaining recognition for his unique right-handed bowling style reminiscent of Sri Lankan legend Lasith Malinga.
Debuting in T20 Internationals in March 2023 against Afghanistan, Khan quickly made an impact with his speed and precision. His consistent performances earned him a spot in Pakistan’s squad for the 2023 Asia Cup, where he showcased his adaptability by debuting in One-Day Internationals as a replacement player.
Besides Zaman, Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim, and pacer Haris Rauf will also participate in the upcoming tournament for their respective teams. Imad will feature for the Seattle Orcas, while Haris will represent the San Francisco Unicorns.
The second season of USA’s Major League Cricket (MLC) kicks off on July 5, just a week after the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, and cricket fans are buzzing with anticipation.
