David Bedingham was in excellent form, scoring an unbeaten 47* off 30 balls, which included five boundaries and two sixes. Aiden Markram contributed with 14 runs, as the South African pair made light work of the chase, sealing a comfortable victory.
Earlier, Pakistan's resistance had come to an end in their second innings. Salman Ali Agha and Mohammad Rizwan put together a partnership of 88 runs before Rizwan fell to Keshav Maharaj for 41 off 75 balls. Maharaj struck again soon after, removing Agha for 48, leaving Pakistan at 441-7.
Aamir Jamal fought hard with a knock of 34, and along with Mir Hamza (16), added 37 valuable runs for the eighth wicket. Pakistan were eventually bowled out for 478, leaving South Africa with a small target of 58.
Kagiso Rabada and Keshav Maharaj were the standout bowlers for South Africa, each taking three wickets, while Marco Jansen and Mphaka added two and one wickets, respectively.
Earlier in the day, Pakistan had started with Shan Masood (102*) and nightwatchman Khurram Shahzad (8*) at the crease. The pair resumed at 213-1 after Pakistan had been forced to follow on. However, Shahzad was dismissed by Jansen for 18, leaving Pakistan at 235-2. Masood continued his fight, scoring 145 runs from 251 balls, but was eventually dismissed after sharing a crucial partnership with Saud Shakeel, who contributed 23 runs.
South Africa had earlier struck back after Pakistan's solid third day effort. Rabada removed Shakeel, while debutant Kwena Maphaka claimed the important wicket of Masood.
