Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag took to social media to provide a detailed explanation for his recent trolling of the Pakistan cricket team.

Earlier, Sehwag, took a jab at the Pakistan cricket team and posted a bizarre comment on X (formerly Twitter) about the Men in Green's departure from India.

"Pakistan Zindabhaag! Have a safe flight back home," Sehwag wrote.

Sehwag's remarks came amidst Pakistan's uncertain fate in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023, as they face the possibility of elimination.

Sehwag, again took over his social media and defended his comments by delving into the historical performance of both Indian and Pakistani cricket teams in the 21st century. He highlighted India's consistent qualification for the semi-finals in five out of the last six World Cups, contrasting it with Pakistan's lone semi-final qualification in 2011.

"In the 21st century there have been 6 ODI world cups. In 6 attempts, only once in 2007 did we not qualify for the semi-finals and have qualified in 5 of the last 6 World cups. On the other hand only once have Pakistan qualified for the semis in 6 attempts in 2011,” Sehwag wrote.

The former cricketer went on to criticize what he deemed as "ridiculous allegations" from the Pakistani camp, accusing the ICC (International Cricket Council) and BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) of changing balls and pitch conditions.

“And they come up with ridiculous allegations blaming ICC and BCCI of changing balls and pitch,” he added.

Sehwag also expressed discontent over the behavior of former Pakistan's Prime Minister, Shahbaz Sharif who allegedly mocked India.

“Their Prime Minister mocks us when we lose to another team despite having beaten them,” Sehwag wrote.

Moreover, Sehwag didn't stop there, pointing out a specific incident involving a Pakistani player posting pictures of enjoying tea in Hyderabad with sarcasm to mock an Indian soldier. He also brought attention to a controversial statement made by the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) chief, who referred to India as "Dushman Mulk" (enemy country) on camera.

“Upon reaching here , their player posts pictures of enjoying tea in Hyderabad with sarcasm to mock our soldier. The PCB chief on camera refers to our country as Dushman Mulk,” he added.

The cricketer argued that such actions from the Pakistani side make it difficult for them to expect love in return. He emphasized that good behavior is a two-way street, and those preaching class should be prepared to receive it in kind.

“And they expect love for their hate. And those preaching class, that is a two way street,” Sehwag said.

In a concluding statement, Sehwag declared that those who behave well will be treated well by us, and those who don't can expect retaliation at the right time. On the field as well as off it.

“Jo Achha vyavhar kare uske saath hum bahut hi achhe, aur jo aisa vyavhar kare toh sahi mauke par soot samet lautana is my way. On field bhi, off-field bhi,” he concluded.
