Sharjeel Khan named in Kingsmen squad for Top End T20 Series

Kingsmen Cricket USA has announced a 16-member squad for the upcoming Top End T20 Series 2025, which will be played in Darwin, Australia, from August 14 to 24.

The team includes a mix of Pakistan internationals, U19 players, and domestic cricketers who are not part of the current national side but have been active in various leagues, including in the USA.

All-rounder Hammad Azam will lead the side, while explosive opener Sharjeel Khan headlines the squad. Other notable players include pacer Ehsan Adil and spinner Umer Khan, along with Saad Ali, Shayan Jahangir, Hassan Khan, Asif Mehmood, and Ghulam Mudassar. The squad also features international names like Scott Kuggeleijn from New Zealand and Shehan Jayasuriya from Sri Lanka.

Sharjeel, who has represented Pakistan in 25 ODIs, 21 T20Is, and one Test, is set to make his mark in the competition. Former Pakistan head coach Grant Bradburn will guide the Kingsmen during the tournament.

The Kingsmen will open their campaign against Big Bash League (BBL) side Perth Scorchers at TIO Stadium on August 15. They will then face Adelaide Strikers on August 17, Pakistan Shaheens on August 19, ACT Comets on August 20, NT Strike on August 21, and Hobart Hurricanes on August 23.

The semi-finals and final are scheduled for August 24. The tournament will begin on August 14 with the Pakistan Shaheens taking on Bangladesh ‘A’ at TIO Stadium.
