Pakistan cricketer Shadab Khan has praised the decision to appoint wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan as captain, stating that the team will achieve success under his leadership.

Speaking to the media at the Global Harmony event in Riyadh, Shadab expressed his confidence in Rizwan’s captaincy skills.

“With Rizwan as captain, the team will gather successes,” he remarked.

Last week, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi announced Rizwan’s appointment as captain for both One Day Internationals (ODIs) and T20 formats, with Salman Ali Agha designated as the vice-captain.

As the team prepares to depart for Australia for the white-ball series, Rizwan shared his thoughts on the upcoming challenge. “The pitches in Australia are not in Aqib Javed's hands; the conditions there are different and tough. We have worked hard, and I hope for good results. A sudden change will not happen just because I became captain,” he stated.
