Shadab returned in the 12th over to remove Usman Ghani and complete his tally of 100 wickets
Shadab Khan on Monday became the leading wicket-taker for Pakistan in T20 Internationals and the first Pakistan bowler to take 100 wickets in the shortest format.
The all-rounder dismissed Ibrahim Zadran in the third T20I against Afghanistan to pick up his 99th scalp in T20Is, hence surpassing Shahid Afridi’s tally of 98 wickets.
Shadab then returned in the 12th over to remove Usman Ghani and complete his tally of 100 wickets.
He wasn’t done yet as he also trapped Mujeeb ur Rahman lbw in the same over to take his number to 101 wickets.
Shadab finished with three wickets in his four-over spell, while only conceding 13 runs.
Shadab achieved the feat in just 83 innings, whereas Afridi took 97 innings to take 98 wickets.
