Leg-spinner has failed to recover from groin injury he suffered during the Asia Cup
Pakistan leg-spinner Shadab Khan is likely to miss the first Test against Australia after he failed to recover from a groin injury — which he suffered during the recently concluded Asia Cup.
According to ESPNcricinfo, in all probability Shadab won’t feature in the first of the two-match Test series in Dubai but the team management is hopeful that he will be fit for the second Test in Abu Dhabi.
33-year-old off-spinner Bilal Asif is likely to make his debut by replacing Shadab in the side.
The first Test between Pakistan and Australia begins on Sunday October 7 at the Dubai International Stadium.
