Pakistan won the all-important match after defeating South Africa by 33 runs (D/L) in their fourth match of the Super-12 group stage at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) in the T20 World Cup.

Shadab Khan played a crucial cameo of 22-ball 52 runs, hitting three fours and four massive sixes. Also, Shadab Khan bowled a spell of 2/16 in his two overs.

Iftikhar and Shadab scored fifty runs each and made a crucial partnership of 82 runs to register 183 runs in the first innings.

Pakistan was 15 runs ahead as the rain started during the South African innings, and as per the DLS method, South Africa needed to score 142 runs in 14 overs.

Shadab Khan was awarded Man of the Match for his all-round performance. The 24-year-old expressed his grief for his contribution in Pakistan's victory.

After this victory, Pakistan is at the third spot in the Group 2 of the Super-12 round stage, and in order for Pakistan to qualify for the semi-final, both India and South Africa have to lose their final round matches.
