Pakistan's T20I vice-captain, Shadab Khan, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to be part of the team again and take on the responsibility that comes with the role.
Shadab said that he is hopeful of fulfilling his duties to the best of his abilities.
In a video released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) before the team's departure to New Zealand, Shadab spoke about the expectations placed on the young players making their debut for the national team. He mentioned that the team aims to play modern-day cricket and is hopeful of achieving success.
"I am thankful to Allah for giving me another chance in the team and for the responsibility that comes with it," Shadab said.
"We have high hopes for the young players making their debut, and we aim to play modern-day cricket. I am confident that we will be successful," he added.
Shadab also expressed his confidence in the young players joining the squad, adding that he expects them to perform well and make a strong impact on the field.
The Pakistan team has arrived in New Zealand to play a five-match T20I series. The first match of the series will take place on March 16.
