The Sussex Sharks are set to play their next T20 Blast match on Tuesday at The 1st Central County Ground. Their aim is to secure consecutive victories on their home ground, this time against the visiting team, the Kent Spitfires.

Unfortunately, Shadab Khan will not be available for the aforementioned match. During the Hampshire game last week, he suffered an injury to the webbing on his left hand, which has forced him to sit out. In that match, Shadab contributed six runs with the bat and managed to take a wicket, conceding 28 runs in his three-over spell.

Earlier in the season, Shadab had already missed a few games due to an unfortunate incident. During his Sussex debut last month, he was involved in a nasty collision with his teammate, Nathan McAndrew, while both were attempting to take a catch. As Shadab sprinted backward to secure the ball, he collided with McAndrew, who was also rushing in from long off. The collision resulted in both fielders falling to the ground and requiring immediate medical attention.

Despite these setbacks, Shadab has been a valuable player for Sussex this season. In the eight T20 Blast matches he has participated in, he has taken six wickets and scored a total of 107 runs in eight innings, including a half-century.
