Lahore Qalandars faced off against the unbeaten leaders Multan Sultans and handed them their first defeat of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 season.
The Qalandars registered a comprehensive victory by 52-runs which saw them climb to the second spot on the table, four points off the Sultans.
Before the match began, the battle between Shaheen Shah and Mohammad Rizwan was made the sole focus; ICC T20 Cricketer of the Year going head-to-head against ICC's Cricketer of the Year.
Although Rizwan failed to make an impact on the game with his batting, he definitely stole the show with a 'hug gesture' after Shaheen opted for a staring contest.

Shaheen returned a smile and went back to his bowling mark. However, after the game, the Qalandars skipper took it to Twitter to express his thoughts regarding Rizwan's jolly moment.
"I have my utmost respect and admiration for this man. It's always a pleasure to share the field with him, be as teammates or as an opposition. Always very competitive yet so humble and friendly, he's set the benchmark for everyone. A proper role model.," wrote Shaheen.
