Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has taken to social media to share a touching first glimpse of his newborn son, Aliyaar Afridi. 

Just two days after welcoming their first child, Shaheen and his wife, Ansha Afridi, celebrated this joyous occasion with a heartfelt Instagram post.

In his post, Shaheen expressed his overwhelming happiness and gratitude.

"This moment changes everything. My heart is full and my life just got a whole lot better. 24/08/2024 will always be special to us. Welcome to the world my son, Aliyaar Afridi," Shaheen posted.

"I will forever be thankful to my wife for all the pain and sufferings she had to endure. She is literally the support system of our little family," he added.

"I am grateful for all the lovely wishes and prayers coming our way. Remember my little family in your prayers," he concluded.

The announcement comes as Shaheen continues to make headlines on the field. During the second innings of the first Test against Bangladesh, the star pacer took a moment to celebrate the birth of his son in a unique way. 

After dismissing Hasan Mahmud with a brilliant delivery, Shaheen performed a cradle gesture in his celebration, honoring the arrival of Aliyaar.
