Shaheen is tougher to play than Starc or Boult: Fakhar Zaman

Fakhar Zaman, the opening batter for the Pakistan cricket team, said during a PCB podcast interview, that he has played against Mitchell Starc and Trent Boult but finds it difficult to bat against Shaheen Afridi.

“It is tougher to bat against Shaheen than Starc or Boult,” Fakhar said.

The left-handed opener stated that Rizwan and Babar Azam have set high standards, and everyone is trying to perform and adapt equally well.

Fakhar, who has represented Pakistan in 70 one-day internationals, stated that his technique has changed since 2016, and he tries to focus more on his batting to overcome his weaknesses, which has resulted in success.

The 33-year-old also said that whenever he scores runs for Pakistan, it feels great, and he has worked hard to improve his power-hitting and fitness in international cricket.

Fakhar believes that cricket is a game where you cannot make predictions, but he can say that Babar will score big in five out of ten matches.

He concluded by saying that we usually fret over the World Cup beyond capacity. They will prepare for it accordingly when it shall arrive.
