Former interim Pakistan chief selector Shahid Afridi believes that fast bowler Shahnawaz Dahani has the potential to become more confident if given more opportunities to play for the national team.
Dahani has so far played in two ODIs and 11 T20Is, but his last match for the Pakistan team was in October 2022.

He was selected for the Test and ODI sides against New Zealand but did not play.
Despite not having the best start to his international career, with one ODI wicket at an average of 73 and eight T20I wickets at an average of 40, Afridi believes that Dahani needs more game time to build confidence and succeed at the international level.
“If they give Dahani more chances, he will get stronger,” said Afridi.
Dahani will next play for the Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League, which begins on February 13th.
