Shahid Afridi hoping for Pakistan, India clash in final of World Championship of Legends

Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi believes that cricket fans would be treated to exceptional entertainment if traditional rivals Pakistan and India were to meet in the final of the ongoing World Legends Championship.

As the tournament heads towards its climax, four teams are vying for a spot in the final. The West Indies Champions will face off against the Pakistan Champions in the first semi-final, while the India Champions will take on the Australia Champions in the second contest.

Should both Pakistan and India emerge victorious in their respective matches, it sets the stage for a potentially thrilling showdown between the two arch-rivals.

Afridi emphasized the determination among players to secure a place in the final, highlighting that a Pakistan-India final would captivate fans worldwide.

"All the teams' players are determined to win the semi-final and make it to the final [...] fans will get great entertainment if Pakistan vs India takes place," Former Pakistan captain, Afridi said.

During their group stage encounter, Pakistan emerged victorious over India with a commanding 68-run win.

Throughout the tournament, Pakistan's batters have shown strong form, with Sharjeel Khan (209 runs) and Shoaib Malik (204 runs) among the top scorers. Sohaib Maqsood, with 182 runs, also features prominently in the list of top ten run-scorers.

Pakistan demonstrated formidable form in the group stage, losing only one match out of five against South Africa, while securing victories over Australia, India, the West Indies, and England.
