As a build-up to Australia’s historic tour to Pakistan, Shahid Afridi recalls his five-wicket hall on debut against Australia at National Stadium Karachi.
While posting on his social media account, Afridi shared the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) post of his mesmerizing performance and shared his sentiments.
"Great memories of my Test debut! Enjoyed this Test against a world-class Australian batting line-up, great memories. I am very excited to see Australia travel to Pakistan again,” wrote Afridi.

The former star all-rounder made his Test debut when the Aussies last toured Pakistan. The Kangaroos won the three-match Test series 1-0 and ODI series 3-0 on their last tour in 1998.
Afridi played his first Test in Karachi in the third game of the series. The leg spinner picked up five wickets for 52 runs in the first innings. Aamir Sohail scored a brilliant 133 in the first innings and Ijaz Ahmed made an unbeaten 120 in the second innings for Pakistan.
Glenn McGrath picked up five wickets in the first innings and Mark Waugh scored a match-saving 117 in the second innings to help Australia save the match and series. The third Test ended in a draw followed by a whitewash victory in the ODI’s for Australia.
