Afridi said Babar Azam should quit the T20I captaincy and focus on his batting
Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi said that the all-format captain, Babar Azam, should step down as T20I captain and focus on his batting.
Afridi also said that Pakistan has other options in Shadab Khan, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shan Masood, all of whom could lead the T20I team.

Speaking to the media, Afridi said, “Babar Azam should quit the T20I captaincy and focus on his batting. We have other players who can lead the T20I team, like Shadab, Rizwan, and even Shan.”
After a bad performance in the T20 World Cup 2022, where he scored 124 runs in seven innings with an average of 17.71, the focus has been on Babar Azam's personal contribution to the team.
It's important to note that Babar Azam led the Men in Green to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup in 2021, the finals of the Asia Cup in 2022, and the finals of the T20 World Cup in 2022.
Babar is also Pakistan's most successful T20I team captain, having won 40 of 66 games, or 65.57 percent. Pakistan skipper also moved up to third place in the T20I batting rankings.
