The national squad for the white-ball series against Australia is expected to be announced on Friday or Saturday.

Pakistan and Australia are scheduled to play three ODIs and a T20I from March 29 to April 5. According to sources, the consultation between the selectors and the team management regarding the proposed players has been completed.

It has been agreed not to make any major changes from the squad, which was picked for the home series against West Indies in Karachi in December 2021. Pakistan played three T20Is against the Men in Maroon but ODIs were postponed.

After the final discussion at the end of the Karachi Test, the list of proposed players will be handed over to PCB Chairman Ramiz, Raja and after approval, the squad will be formally announced.

A strong team will be fielded by adopting a policy of avoiding experiments against the Aussies. Hasan Ali will be able to return to white-ball cricket in place of fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain who is out due to suspected bowling action.

Opener Shan Masood and young wicketkeeper Mohammad Haris are highly expected to be picked in the squad for these games.

The three-match ODI series against Australia starts on March 29. The second match is scheduled for March 31. The third match is scheduled for April 2. The only T20 match is scheduled for April 5.

Meanwhile, The matches have already been scheduled in Rawalpindi but due to the political situation in the capital Islamabad, it will be decided on March 20 whether the matches will be played in Pindi Stadium or they will have to shift to Lahore.
