Masood has maintained superb form in the ongoing County Championship, leading the competition’s two divisions with 1,074 runs at an average of 82.74, including three centuries and four fifties
The Professional Cricketers' Association (PCA) has once again picked Shan Masood as PCA player of the month for his mesmerizing form in the English County 2022.
Shan had previously won this award in the month of April and this will be the second time the left-hander will be awarded the trophy.
The left-hander is currently representing Derbyshire in the ongoing County Championship and he became the first batter to cross the 1,000-run mark during the 2022 season. In doing so, Shan also picked up three MVP awards as well.
Shan expressed his delight after being named the player of the month once again, claiming that consistency is one of the most important traits to have as a cricketer.
"The most important requirement of the game is consistency. The game is fast and evolving. People pick up on opposition and they catch you out so there is no time to fall asleep so you always have evolved," said Shan. "To back up my early season form and win the award again shows the levels of consistency."

It is worth adding that although the 32-year-old was named in Pakistan's Test squad for the series against Sri Lanka, it remains to be seen who will open for Pakistan as Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq have also been in form.
