In the wake of Pakistan's loss in the second T20I match against England, veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik has shared his perspective and advice for skipper Babar Azam.

Malik took to the social media platform 'X,' where he emphasized the distinction between domestic leagues like the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the rigors of international cricket, especially crucial ahead of the impending T20 World Cup.

"This is not PSL this is international cricket that too, just before the T20 World Cup. IMO, the batting order should be... Fakhar, Rizwan, Babar, Azam, Iftikar, Imad, Shadab," Malik said.

The former captain also suggested that Babar should give players like Azam Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed more time and overs to settle into their batting rhythm.

"Captain needs to utilise the options on the bench wisely. Moving forward, the captain should give time & enough overs to Azam & Iftikhar to settle first, expecting them to score 12-14 rightaway is unfair. All the best for remaining matches," he concluded.

The Men in Green faced a tough loss in the second T20I against England. Batting first, England set a challenging target of 183 runs after losing seven wickets in their innings. In reply, the Men in Green struggled to maintain the momentum, eventually being bundled out for 160 runs in 19.2 overs, resulting in a 23-run defeat.

The third T20I clash is scheduled to take place in Cardiff on May 28th.
