Karachi Kings have announced the appointment of former Australian pacer Shaun Tait as the team’s Assistant and Fast Bowling Coach ahead of the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).  

The announcement was made on the team’s social media, accompanied by a creative banner and the caption: "Speed meets strategy! Shaun Tait joins #KingsSquad as Assistant and Fast Bowling Coach for #HBLPSLX."  

In other updates, Karachi Kings have also appointed former England all-rounder Ravi Bopara as the head coach. He replaces Phil Simmons, the former West Indies all-rounder, who coached the team for the previous season.  

Additionally, Muhammad Masroor, the assistant coach, will now also take on the responsibility of High-Performance Coaching.  

The leadership of Karachi Kings will be under former Australian opener David Warner for the first time in the PSL. Warner will replace Shan Masood as captain.  

The 10th edition of PSL is set to begin on Friday, April 11, 2025, with defending champions Islamabad United facing Lahore Qalandars at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Karachi Kings will play their opening match on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at their home ground, National Bank Stadium in Karachi, against Multan Sultans.  

The tournament will feature 34 matches from April 11 to May 18, with 13 matches held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, including two Eliminators and the grand final.
