Shoaib Akhtar makes surprise appearance during Pakistan-Australia Test match

To showcase his support for a much-anticipated tour of Australia, Pakistan's legendary spinner Shoaib Akhtar has made a guest appearance for the ongoing match between Australia and Pakistan.

Akhtar took it to social media to share his excitement as the 46-year-old was accompanied by his five-year-old son Mikaeel.

"I am going to Pindi Stadium after a long time, last time I played a match here for Pakistan and after that, I haven’t watched or played a match here. I am happy to see Australia touring Pakistan, the whole nation is very happy," said Akhtar in the video posted on his social media.

"Thank you Australia and thank you Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for making this tour possible," he added.

After the conclusion of the Rawalpindi Test match, both teams will play a Test match each in Karachi and Lahore.

Following that, Australia and Pakistan will also play a three-match ODI series along with one-off T20I.
