Shoaib Akhtar passes judgement on Hardik Pandya

Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar claims that Hardik Pandya brings balance to the Indian side and added that being outside the team has helped the player become more focused.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, the Rawalpindi Express went as far as stating that Pandya "completes" Indian teams' balance.

"He completes the team’s balance. He got a good jolt, staying out of the team for about two years because of his fitness. He was casual about his life and is now better," he said.

Building on that point, Akhtar said that Pandya has all the qualities to become one of the best all-rounders not only for India but in the world.

The all-rounder made a successful comeback and led Gujrat Titans to their debut trophy as a captain. He played a key role with both the bat and ball.

Furthermore, Shoaib claimed that Pandya seems more focused on the field and has finally hit the maturity that the game demands.

Pandya also led the Indian white-ball team in the two-match T20I series against Ireland and carried on his tremendous form in the 2-1 series victory against England.
