Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has expressed his frustration with Virender Sehwag for repeatedly talking about his famous 300-run innings against Pakistan in 2004. Akhtar joked that Sehwag has been playing the same "tape" for 20 years.

The banter started when Sehwag shared a video on Instagram, referencing his triple century in the caption. Akhtar responded with his own video, saying he is tired of hearing about it.

“I saw a video of Viru Paaji. Man, I am fed up of hearing him talk. It is the same tape he has been playing for the last 20 years – ‘300, 300, 300’. Come on, brother, I was there too when you scored that 300,” Akhtar said.

He admitted that Sehwag played brilliantly but asked him to stop talking about it, especially during the fasting month of Ramadan. Akhtar even joked about getting Sehwag an entry in the Guinness World Records for saying "300" the most times.

Sehwag’s 309-run innings in the first Test in Multan remains one of the highlights of his career. Along with Sachin Tendulkar’s unbeaten 194, he helped India reach 675/5 declared. Pakistan responded with 407 but was forced to follow on, scoring only 216 in the second innings. India won the match by an innings and 52 runs.
