Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik alongside Kings captain Imad Wasim claim a record while representing Karachi Kings in yesterday's match against Peshawar Zalmi.

Kings led by Imad, won the toss and opted to field first. The decision was not quite in favor of the Karachi Kings, as Zalmi scored a blistering 199 runs in their first innings.

Babar Azam, who was leading Peshawar for the first time, scored 46-ball 68 runs, including seven boundaries and one six.

Star-performer Tom-Kohler Cadmore scored a blistering 50-ball 92 runs, including seven boundaries and six massive sixes.

In reply, Kings started poorly as opener Sharjeel Khan was sent back to the pavilion for a golden duck. Matthew Wade started brilliantly but was later dismissed by Jimmy Neesham.

The match was quite in favor of Zalmi at one point, but later on, felt pressurised thanks to a brilliant comeback by the Kings.

Captain Imad Wasim and Shoaib Malik created a massive partnership that somehow changed down the whole game for the Kings.

Imad Wasim scored firing 47-ball 80 runs, including seven fours and four massive sixes.

Shoaib Malik also played a crucial knock as he scored 34-ball 52 runs, including four boundaries and two massive sixes.

The match was very well over for Zalmi as they required nine runs in the last delivery.

Imad Wasim and Shoaib Malik's pair becomes the top pair to claim the record of the highest 5th-wicket partnership in PSL history.
