Doull expressed confidence in India and South Africa’s chances at the upcoming mega event
Former New Zealand cricketer Simon Doull has revealed his predictions for the semi-finalists of the forthcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, which will be co-hosted by the United States and the West Indies.
Speaking with CricBuzz, Doull expressed strong belief in India and South Africa’s prospects in the tournament.
“No England for me. They are a very good 230-240 side on batter-friendly pitches but not for me in West Indies .India and South Africa can win the tournament. I will put Australia and West Indies in as semi-finalists as well,” Doull said.
The tournament kicks off on June 1, with the USA, one of the hosts, playing against Canada.
Teams will be divided into four groups, with the top two from each group progressing to the Super Eight stage. The Super Eight will then be divided into two groups, and the leading two teams from each will advance to the semi-finals.
