The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the commencement of the President’s Cup One-Day tournament, which will kick off on October 3, 2024, across five cities in Pakistan. The competition will feature nine departmental cricket teams, divided into two groups.

The tournament promises intense cricketing action, with the semi-finals scheduled for October 13 and 14, followed by the grand final on October 16. All matches will be day fixtures, starting at 9:30 AM. The specific venues and start times for the semi-finals and final will be revealed at a later date.

A total prize pool of PKR 7.75 million is up for grabs, with the winning team earning a lucrative PKR 5 million, while the runners-up will take home PKR 2.5 million.

Group A consists of Higher Education Commission (HEC), Khan Research Laboratories (KRL), State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), and Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA). Group B features Eshaal Associates, Ghani Glass, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), Pakistan Television (PTV), and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).

Defending champions SNGPL will open their campaign against Ghani Glass on October 3 at Saeed Sports City Bedian, Lahore. Matches for Group A will be held in Abbottabad, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi, while Group B matches will take place in Faisalabad and Lahore.
