The 36-year-old claimed that he was working hard and performing well which was all he could do from his end
Pakistan’s all-rounder Sohail Tanvir, while talking to Express News on Saturday, expressed his eagerness to make a comeback into the national side and is not ready to hang up his boots just yet.
The 36-year-old claimed that he was working hard and performing well which was all he could do from his end.
“My form and fitness were there for everyone to see during the PSL. We made some great comebacks to help our side to victory. My job is to work hard and improve my performance. I have never lagged behind in that department. It depends on the selectors when they would want to give me a chance,” Tanvir said.
“When we came to Abu Dhabi, we were at number five on the points table with just two points from five games. No one could predict that we would be standing as champions at the end. The credit for the victory goes to the management along with the entire team because they kept supporting us through everything. We planned on playing every match like it was the final. Everyone pitched in to ensure that we could win four out of five of our remaining matches. Sohaib Maqsood and Mohammad Rizwan were exceptional in the batting department, while Imran Tahir, Shahnawaz Dahani, Imran Khan and I performed for our side in terms of bowling. I am playing in many leagues around the world. This shows the demand of T20 cricket around the world,” he concluded.
