South Africa retained 10 players from the team that reached the semi-finals of the 2023 Cricket World Cup
South Africa has revealed their 15-player squad for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, with Temba Bavuma leading the team. The Proteas are aiming to continue their strong performance in recent international tournaments.
The squad includes the return of star pacers Anrich Nortje and Lungi Ngidi, who were previously sidelined due to injuries. Nortje, recovering from a stress fracture in his back, will play his first ODI match since September 2023. He missed the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and South Africa’s home season. Ngidi also makes a comeback after being out of action since October 2024 due to a groin injury.
