The Pakistan U19 squad has landed in South Africa, gearing up for the upcoming 2024 ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup set to commence on January 19.

Placed in Group D alongside Afghanistan, New Zealand, and Nepal, the team is fully aware of the challenges posed by the formidable opponents they will face.

In a statement to the media prior to their departure for the prestigious tournament, skipper Saad Baig conveyed the team's determination to clinch the World Cup title.

“Our goal is to win the World Cup, and all teams are strong. We will not take any team lightly, and we will enter the field with a well-thought-out plan,” Saad said.

“As the captain of the U19 team, it’s an honour for me. We will enter the field as a united team, and we expect the best from all players. Learning from our mistakes is a priority,” he added.

Pakistan's U19 team boasts a commendable history in the competition, having previously secured the title in 2004 and 2006.
