Sri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne is suffering from lower back pain and his involvement in the second innings of the final Test at Galle is doubtful.

According to details, the 34-year-old will only play his part with the bat if it is required as is recovering from the injury, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) stated.

 "TEAM UPDATE: Dimuth Karunaratne, who is suffering from a ‘Lower Back Pain’ is recovering. However, the player will bat in the 2nd innings, only if required." Sri Lanka Cricket tweeted.

The hosts have stretched their lead over 200. They bowled Pakistan out for 231 after scoring 378 in the first innings.
