Pakistan has been known for producing some great fast-bowlers, over the course of its history, but there has been a steady decline in this department during the past few years.

A stat has revealed that no Pakistan fast-bowler has claimed more than 200 wickets during Test matches in the past 25 years.

During the same span of time, only Bangladesh and Zimbabwe are the other two sides who have failed to check this box.

South Africa, who are currently on Pakistan tour, are on top of the list with eight pacers. Meanwhile, Australia and England are second and third on the table with seven and six fast-bowlers, respectively.

New Zealand have four pacers who have crossed the 200-plus wickets mark, while India and West Indies have two bowlers, each, on the list.

It must be noted that Pakistan’s top-three wicket-takers in Test cricket are all fast-bowlers. Wasim Akram tops the list with 414 wickets, followed by Waqar Younis, 373, and Imran Khan with 362 scalps.
