Australian batsman Steven Smith, similar to his batting partner Marnus Labuschagne, has been preparing for the upcoming Pakistan tour in a unique manner.

Since Australia is traveling after more than two decades, no players have previously played in Pakistan conditions on a regular basis to be comfortable.

In order to bridge that gap and familiarise themselves with the Pakistan conditions, Australia's Test vice-captain has come up with new and unique ways for training.

A video being circulated on social media shows Steve Smith on a pitch that is completely deteriorated to better understand how the balls might turn for spinners during the Pakistan series.

Although pace will play an equally important role as the trend of pitches has changed in Pakistan but spin still remains one of Pakistan's main wicket-taking threats.

Smith has managed a splendid record against Pakistan as he has scored 755 runs at an average of 53.92 which includes two centuries and five half-centuries.

In addition to that, Smith also has an impressive record against Asian countries as he has managed 1200 runs at an average of 48.03 in 26 innings.

The first Test between both teams will be played on March 4 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium whereas the other two Test matches will be played in Karachi and Lahore.
