Former Pakistan captain, Babar Azam, has requested that people should stop calling him "King," stating that he is not a king yet and will only be recognized as one when he achieves something significant.

Speaking after Pakistan's match against South Africa in Karachi, Babar Azam explained that whenever he goes out to bat, his mindset is always to score well. However, he acknowledged that he has been struggling to finish innings.

"When the inning builds, I get a better feel of the game and the pitch," he said.

Babar also mentioned that opening the innings is a new role for him, and he has taken on this responsibility at the team's request. He praised his teammates, Mohammad Rizwan and Salman, for their solid performances.

"Such performances build confidence in the team," Babar added.

On his own form, Babar said, "I try to do my best, but once I'm set, I haven't been able to play long innings. I talk to myself about how to get out of this situation."

He also emphasized that past performances should not be dwelled on.

"What I did before is in the past. If I focus on previous performances, I won't be able to perform in the future. The previous day is gone, and each new day brings a new plan and mindset," he said.

Lastly, Babar stated that chasing a huge total and achieving success boosts the team's confidence.
