T10 League is once again in the limelight for the wrong reasons after it was revealed that Maratha Arabians’ Sandy Singh was suspended over suspicious activity, before the beginning of this year’s event.

According to sources, Singh, an Indian cricketer, had travelled to Abu Dhabi for the league but did not participate in any of the matches played so far.

During a lecture by the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit, players were told to stay away from people involved in suspicious activity. After the lecture, it was identified that Singh was associated with one of suspicious individuals, who was also his bat sponsor, which led to the player being suspended. The league officials are yet to respond on the matter.

It must be noted that many Pakistan, former and current, players are participating in the ongoing T10 League as well.

The leagues includes eight teams, Team Abu Dhabi, Maratha Arabians, Bangla Tigers, Deccan Gladiators, Qalandars, Delhi Bulls, Northern Warriors, and Pune Devils.

The event will run from January 28 to February 6, 2021 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
