India and Pakistan will kick off their T20 World Cup campaign on October 23 in Melbourne. Both teams previously met at the Asia Cup 2022, where both teams won one match each. India won the league stage match, but Pakistan won the Super 4 stage.

The chances of rain during Pakistan vs India match is 55% as per AccuWeather’s forecast.The match is scheduled for 7:00 PM local time (1 pm PST).

In the previous year's T20 World Cup match in UAE, Pakistan defeated India by ten wickets to end India's winning streak in the ICC mega-event. Babar Azam and wicketkeeper Mohamad Rizwan designed the winning strategy.

In the opening match of the T20 World Cup 2022, the men in blue will attempt to avenge their two previous defeats by claiming victory. The possibility of weather obstacles during the match is a major source of concern for the fans.

Before playing two warmup matches against Australia and New Zealand, India recently played two practice matches  against Western Australia.

Pakistan, on the other hand, defeated New Zealand in the final match of the tri-nation series, after which they will play England and Afghanistan in warm-up matches.
