The International Cricket Council (ICC) has placed strict bio-bubble protocols to keep players secure from the coronavirus during the men's T20 World Cup in United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Pakistan squad is staying at 'TheFestival City' where HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) teams also stayed during the second part of the sixth edition in June 2021.
As per protocols, the team is using a separate lift, dining area, gym and swimming pool. Players' families are also bound to follow the same protocols. The Men in Green are residing in two floors of the hotel, whereas West Indies cricket team is also accompanying them at the same hotel.
Other tourists are also staying in the same hotel but they are not allowed to enter bio-bubble. There is only one gate at the hotel, therefore, the teams follow a special exit process where no other individual is allowed to come near the players.

According to a team official, players' kids often wish to visit the shopping mall, adjacent to the hotel but as per protocols, they are not allowed to visit.
Remember, players and their families used to have a vacation mode during the pre-Covid era where they were allowed to roam freely but now they are mostly restricted in hotel rooms.
ICC has allowed players to accompany families with them for the competition in order to stay mentally fresh in a tough period of bio-bubble.
