Duo were suffering from mild flu
Wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan and all-rounder Shoaib Malik have cleared the fitness test and will be available for the semi-final, today, against Australia.
The duo suffered from mild flu and didn’t take part in the practice session, yesterday.
The players cleared their respective Covid-19 tests yesterday, however the team doctor, Dr Najeeb Soomro, had advised them to rest. After further tests, today, the duo were given the clearance to play the match.

Rizwan is one of the leading run-scorers of the tournament, with 214 runs against his name, whereas Malik holds the record for the joint-fastest fifty, along with India’s KL Rahul, in the ongoing T20 World Cup, in just 18 balls, which he scored against Scotland.
