Sri Lanka Women and India Women have secured their places in the final of the Women's Asia Cup 2024, set to take place this Sunday at Dambulla.

In the first semifinal, India triumphed over Bangladesh by 10 wickets. Bangladesh were restricted to 80 runs after losing eight wickets in their innings. India then chased down the target in just 11 overs, without losing a single wicket.

The second semifinal was a thrilling contest where Sri Lanka narrowly edged out Pakistan. 

The national team posted a total of 140 runs after losing four wickets. In a dramatic finish, Sri Lanka chased down the target with just one ball to spare.

This will be India's ninth consecutive final appearance in the Asia Cup, and they have previously won the tournament seven times. Sri Lanka will be making their sixth final appearance and are yet to secure their first Asia Cup title.
