Additional discussions regarding the scheduling of the PSL for the upcoming year will be held during the subsequent council meeting
Next year's Pakistan Super League (PSL) may coincide with the Indian Premier League (IPL), as per media reports.
Sources suggest that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is contemplating potential scheduling conflicts between PSL and IPL in 2025.
Among the three proposed windows for PSL 2025, the most favorable option involves overlapping with the IPL in April and May. The PCB is currently evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of holding the league concurrently with the IPL.
The second window under consideration spans three weeks in February, as March is unavailable due to the ICC Champions Trophy hosted by Pakistan. However, this timing clashes with the ODI triangular series involving New Zealand and South Africa, also set to take place in Pakistan. The third potential window coincides with the Asia Cup in September 2025.
Additional discussions regarding the scheduling of the PSL for the upcoming year will be held during the subsequent council meeting.
Meanwhile, in ongoing PSL 9 with just one round match remaining between Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans, PSL 9 is in full swing. The action will transition to the playoffs from March 14.
Currently, Zalmi leads the PSL standings with 13 points. Regardless of the outcome of the match between Gladiators and Sultans, Babar Azam's team will advance to Qualifier 1
