Pakistan will face England in the fourth and final T20I of the series at the Kennington Oval in London on Thursday.

However, there is concern that the match may be disrupted by rain, with The Weather Channel forecasting a 42 percent chance of showers in the area.

The third T20I in the series, held at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff, was also abandoned due to rain on Tuesday.

England currently leads the series 1-0 after securing a 23-run victory in the second T20I on Saturday. The first match of the series in Leeds was also washed out on May 22 without a single ball being bowled.

This series is a crucial preparation for both teams ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, which is set to commence on June 1 in the United States and the West Indies. England, the reigning T20 World Cup champions, defeated Pakistan in the 2022 final held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.

In addition to weather concerns, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has responded to security issues faced by the Pakistan cricket team. According to media reports, the ECB has assigned two additional security officers to accompany the Pakistani players. This decision comes after fans frequently surrounded team members, including captain Babar Azam, whenever they left their hotel, leading to some uncomfortable situations and viral videos.

The request for enhanced security was made by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, prompting the ECB to take swift action to ensure the safety and well-being of the players during their stay in England.
