MLC returns with MI New York defending their title after a thrilling victory over Seattle Orcas in the 2023 final

Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 is gearing up for an exciting season in the United States, with six teams slated to compete across Texas and North Carolina from July 5th to 28th.
Following the success of its inaugural edition last year, MLC returns with MI New York defending their title after a thrilling victory over Seattle Orcas in the 2023 final.
The season opener on July 5th will witness a rematch of last year's final as MI New York faces Seattle Orcas at Church Street Park in North Carolina. Concurrently, Texas Super Kings will host LA Knight Riders at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
The league will feature a total of 21 matches played in a round-robin format. Initially, 15 matches will be split between Church Street Park and Grand Prairie Stadium, with the latter hosting the final group matches and knockout fixtures.
Teams will compete once in the league phase, with the top four advancing to the playoffs. The grand finale of MLC 2024 is scheduled for July 29th at Grand Prairie Stadium.
Four out of the six MLC teams are owned by franchises from the Indian Premier League (IPL), including MI New York (Mumbai Indians), Texas Super Kings (Chennai Super Kings), LA Knight Riders (Kolkata Knight Riders), and Seattle Orcas (Delhi Capitals). The remaining two teams are San Francisco Unicorns and Washington Freedom.
