Afghanistan spinner, Rashid Khan, was asked to name players who excel in specific shots in the game of cricket. When it came to selecting the player with the best cover-drive in the world, Rashid Khan wasted no time in praising the Indian batting maestro, Virat Kohli.

According to Khan, Kohli stands out as the premier exponent of this elegant stroke. He commends Kohli's cover drive for its aesthetic appeal and the resonating sound it produces when connecting with the ball.

“I think Virat Kohli plays that shot [cover-drive] better than anyone in the world. His cover-drive looks good and sounds good,” Rashid said in a video posted by ESPNCricinfo.

However, when asked if Pakistan's Babar Azam is a close second to Kohli in terms of executing the best cover-drive, Rashid acknowledges that Babar indeed comes very close. He also included Kane Williamson, the New Zealand captain, in the mix, implying that Williamson's proficiency in playing the cover-drive is also noteworthy.

“Yes, definitely, Babar is very close [second]. It is tough competition between Babar and Virat and also Kane Williamson,” he added.

When the conversation shifted to the sweep shot, Rashid revealed that the legendary Pakistani batsman, Younis Khan, stands out as the best.

“Younis Khan is someone who played the sweep shot better than anybody else. I learn by watching his YouTube videos and observing him play the sweep shot,” Rashid said.
