Australian cricketer Travis Head has ignited the anticipation for a potential T20 World Cup showdown against India, painting a picture of the excitement and competitive spirit that such a match would bring.
"It would be nice. It would be nice to be in the final," Head said.
"I think everyone in India would love that, especially considering what's happened in the last two finals. So, I'm sure India wants some revenge at some point," he added.
Head highlighted the dramatic potential of such a high-stakes encounter.
"There would be good theatre around it if that were the case. Let's hope that we're in it, and let's hope you're in it, and we'll see what happens," he said.
The Australian star also praised the formidable quality of the Indian team, acknowledging their strength and status as one of the tournament heavyweights.
"India is in good hands. I think you could probably name four or five teams that are going to be in the mix," he noted.
The 30-year-old emphasized the importance of India's attacking style of cricket, highlighting key players who could make a significant impact.
"Playing an attacking brand of cricket is crucial for them. With Rohit and Virat, and their exceptional bowling led by star bowler Bumrah, who has also been outstanding in the IPL, their chances are high," he concluded.
