Former Pakistan cricketer, Kamran Akmal, shares his perspective on Pakistan pacer, Mohammad Amir's potential comeback to the Pakistan team.

Akmal expressed his belief that players who have dedicated themselves to domestic cricket for a significant period of time should receive fair consideration.

"We are making efforts to bring back a player who is trying to settle in England," said Akmal.

"Playing domestic cricket shouldn't limit a player's potential, if they excel in all formats of the game, including ODI, T20I, and four-day cricket, and have the ability to make a comeback in Test cricket, they should be given the chance to perform. Age should not be a barrier if the player proves their worth," he added.

The 41-year-old has highlighted the significance of recognizing players who are striving to regain their position in the national team by participating in club cricket.

"It's important to consider the ones who are struggling to make their return to the national team by playing club cricket and showcasing their hard work," he said.

While the question of Amir's potential return to the team is a hot topic among cricket fans, the wicketkeeper batsman argues that a better policy for all players is necessary, not just for Amir.

"Our policy and vision should not be limited to specific players such as Amir or Junaid Khan. We need to have a better policy in place that doesn't discriminate based on past history or reputation," he concluded.
